Naomi Teekens started studying Music Theatre at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg, but decided to continue her studies at the University of Amsterdam. In 2019, she graduated from the study of Theatre Science and she is currently enrolled in the master International Dramaturgy, with musical dramaturgy as her specialization. She collaborates frequently with various young artists from the University of the Arts, such as Chloè Harris and Angelo Ormskerk, together with whom she created the performances Vita & Virginia and Yorkafowru, among others. She has a strong affinity with music theatre and strives to make a contribution to the recovery of the aftermath of colonialism through the arts. Since 2020, she has been a dramaturge at Dutch National Opera. With How ANANSI freed the stories of the world, she makes her debut at Dutch National Opera & Ballet.
