Manfred Trojahn

Composer

The German Manfred Trojahn studied orchestral music and later composition with Diether de la Motte in Hamburg. His oeuvre encompasses virtually every genre, from cabaret songs and chamber music to works for choirs and large orchestras. His fascination with musical narrative in combination with the human voice is strongly reflected in almost all of his work and has occupied a prominent place in his oeuvre since the premiere of his dramatic comedy Enrico. After the world premiere of his Orest in 2011, he returned to Dutch National Opera March 2022 with his new creation Eurydice - Die Liebenden, blind.
