American Lillian Stillwell creates dance, opera, musical, theatre and interdisciplinary productions throughout Europe. Her choreographies aim to reveal the structural and emotional content of music through movement. She works with academically educated and self-taught dancers as well as with people without a background in dance. In this way, she wants to connect dance to society and challenge established views on who dances and what dance looks like. She has choreographed Leonard Bernstein's Mass for 150 singers, dancers and actors, and Silberlicht with the Philharmonie Luxembourg. She will make her debut at DNO as a choreographer with this production of Donizetti's Anna Bolena.
