Leonard Evers

Leonard Evers (1985) studied at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, Leiden University and Codarts Conservatorium Rotterdam. He has since worked with De Nationale Opera, Cappella Amsterdam and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. From 2013 to 2018, Evers was conductor and artistic director of the Amsterdam-based Ricciotti Ensemble. Since 2018, he has been artistic director on a project basis with Cappella Amsterdam, where he regularly designs and executes adventurous projects. Besides a prolific conductor, Evers is a versatile composer. His music combines elements of jazz, world music and new music. Every week, he shares his passion for music with a wide audience as a presenter on national radio and television. At Dutch National Opera, Evers previously wrote the operas Kriebel and Goud! and was the musical director of several (youth) productions.
