Jojanneke Gremmen

Head costume production opera

Jojanneke Gremmen obtained her Master’s in Theatre Studies at the University of Amsterdam and took a minor in Costume Production at Rose Bruford College in the United Kingdom. At Dutch National Opera & Ballet, Gremmen was the assistant costume designer for the production Ringetje (2012), directed by Lotte de Beer. After several years working for various national and international companies and costume designers, Gremmen came to work for Dutch National Opera & Ballet in 2019, first as opera costume supervisor and as of 2023 as head of opera costume production.

Jojanneke Gremmen designed the costumes for Dido and Aeneas in concert, performed from 25 April to 6 May 2025 at Dutch National Opera & Ballet and in Arnhem, Enschede and Heerlen.
