Eternity is an intimate musical contemplation of the concept of eternity. Under the inspired direction of Edward Ananian-Cooper, chorus master of Dutch National Opera since 2022, the Chorus will perform works like Brahms’ profound Warum ist das Licht gegeben, Chausson’s captivating Hymne Védique, and Rautavaara’s atmospheric The First Runo.

Chorus of Dutch National Opera

The Chorus of Dutch National Opera is an essential part of the productions that make Dutch National Opera an internationally renowned company. In 2016, the chorus was named the best opera chorus in the world by the prestigious German magazine Opernwelt. The permanent chorus consists of fifty singers, but for opera productions that require a larger chorus – sometimes as many as ninety to one hundred singers – Dutch National Opera collaborates with a dedicated group of freelancers.

Eternity is an exclusive concert featuring only the permanent chorus of Dutch National Opera. During this concert, you will get an intimate insight into the vocal depth and versatility of the house chorus, experiencing pure ensemble singing at its finest.
