Presentation Choreographic Academy

Research and experimentation are key elements in the creation of a new dance work. And that’s exactly what our annual Choreographic Academy is all about! This summer, Joshua Junker, Arielle Smith Jones, and the choreographic duo Jess and Morgs (Jessica Wright and Morgann Runacre-Temple) will have the opportunity to work with Dutch National Ballet’s Junior Company for three weeks. Together with the dancers, they will explore the potential of their ideas and take the first steps toward new creations. The results of their research will be shared on August 29 during a special ‘work in progress’ presentation in Studio Boekman. On this evening, the boundaries between stage and studio will fade, offering you an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience. Step into the creative process with the choreographers and witness up close how new dance pieces come to life.
