Dunja Jocic
Choreography
The Serbian-Dutch choreographer Dunja Jocic came to the Netherlands to study at the Rotterdam Dance Academy. As a dancer, she worked with Club Guy & Roni, Emio Greco, Ballet du Nord, Peter Greenaway and Saskia Boddeke, among others. She was nominated for a Gouden Zwaan in 2013 for her performance in Midnight Rising by Guy & Roni. Parallel to her dance career, she began to develop as a choreographer, both in Serbia and the Netherlands and abroad. Recent choreographies include The Previous Owner and The Panther (winner of the Zwaan for most impressive dance production 2020/2021) Her dance film Bird (2015) competed for a Golden Calf and won the Audience Award at Cinedans festival.
