Daniil Orlov
Dramaturge
Daniil Orlov is a pianist, arranger and composer. Born in Russia, he studied at the State Conservatoire in Moscow and participated in the training programmes of the Bolshoi Theatre and Komische Oper Berlin. He has worked closely with the director Kirill Serebrennikov since 2018, including on Così fan tutte, Nabucco, Parsifal, The nose, Le nozze di Figaro, Lohengrin, Leben mit einem Idioten and Don Giovanni/Requiem. He also composed the film music for Serebrennikov’s Tchaikovsky’s Wife and was on the stage in Serebrennikov’s productions of Barocco and Legende. At Dutch National Opera, he was previously involved as a dramaturge in Der Freischütz.
