Sangwon Park

Junior Company

Sangwon Park was born in Daegu  (South Korea) in 2004. At the age of five, she started dancing at the local academy. At the age of 13, she took her first professional ballet classes at the Universal Ballet Academy in Seoul. Sangwon then took classes at the Sunhwa Arts Middle and High School in Seoul and danced in the Universal Ballet Junior Company. As a member of the Universal Ballet Junior Company, Sangwon had the opportunity to dance several leading roles, including Clara in The Nutcracker and the Mouse King in 2021, Shim Chung in Shim Chung in 2023 and Odette/Odile in Swan Lake in 2023. In 2023, she won the Prix de Lausanne Apprentice Scholarship. As of the start of the 2023/2024 season, Sangwon will join the Junior Company of Dutch National Ballet.
