Aafke Wolles was born in Haarlem (the Netherlands), where she began ballet at the age of three. In 2012, she began her ballet training at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam, where she completed the preliminary course in 2021. She received her diploma for the subsequent Associate Degree of this programme in 2023. During her training, Aafke had the opportunity to dance in several productions by Dutch National Ballet, including The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, Mata Hari, Coppelia and The Sleeping Beauty. In 2023, she was accepted into the Junior Company of Dutch National Ballet.
In 2020, Aafke received a grant from Stichting Danserfonds ’79 – founded by the world-renowned dance couple Han Ebbelaar and Alexandra Radius – which allowed her to further develop her talent.
