As a Ghanaian child in Amsterdam Zuidoost, Benjamin ‘Bnnyhunna’ Ankomah discovered how to express himself through music. In church, he learned to play the piano, guitar, and drums, which eventually led him to produce songs for artists like Gaidaa, Rimon, Dolapo, Akwasi, and Fimon. He also toured globally with Jose James, Arp Frique, and Yung Nnelg.

This journey culminated in his solo debut SINTHA, a stimulating blend of jazz, gospel, Afro-Caribbean music, and hip-hop. His music can be described as a broad soundscape, influenced by jazz, soul, Afro, hip-hop, and legends such as Fela Kuti, Pharrell Williams, and John Coltrane.

Bnnyhunna also experiments with photography, video, and poetry to convey his unique, unorthodox message.

For the 2024-2025 season, he is collaborating with Neo Muyanga to create the musical composition for the youth hip-hop opera Lennox.
