Barbara Drosihn

Costume design

Barbara Drosihn studied costume design at HAW Hamburg.  She has a long-standing collaboration with director Christof Loy. She designed the costumes for his productions of Lucrezia Borgia, Der Rosenkavalier and Der ferne Klang, as well as for Das Wunder der Heliane and Der Schatzgräber. Another long collaboration links her with director Tatjana Gürbaca, for whose Parsifal and Der fliegende Holländer she designed the costumes, as well as for Capriccio and an adaptation of the Ring at the Theater an der Wien, La finta giardiniera and Le Grand Macabre in Zurich and Kát'a Kabanová . At Dutch National Opera, Drosihn worked as costume designer for Tatjana Gürbaca's 2021 production of La traviata.
