Choreographer

Arco Renz is a choreographer, director, dancer, curator and dramaturg, working on performance and transcultural projects across Europe and Asia. As artistic director of Brussels-based dance company Kobalt Works since 2001, his choreography there has been performed worldwide. He has also choreographed Julie (De Munt / La Monnaie), Yvonne, Princesse de Bourgogne (Opéra National de Paris), and Idomeneo (La Scala). For the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence he conceived, directed and choreographed Les Madrigaux with musical director Kenneth Weiss. Renz is interested in the intersection of research, exchange and knowledge shared through performance practice.
