Antonello Manacorda has been the artistic director of Kammerakademie Potsdam since 2010 and the principal conductor of Het Gelders Orkest since 2011. Before that, he led I Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan from 2006 to 2010. Manacorda has held the baton with various orchestras, including Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. His repertoire includes opera titles like Die Zauberflöte, Betulia liberata, Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Lucio Silla, The Cunning Little Vixen, Otello, Il barbiere di Siviglia, L’AfricaineLa traviata and Alceste which he has conducted a.o. with Teatro La Fenice, Theater an der Wien, De Munt Brussel, Bayerische Staatsoper München, Komische Oper Berlin, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, Royal Opera House and Oper Frankfurt.
