With the Komische Oper Berlin he directed Falstaff, L'amour des trois oranges and Die lustige Witwe. In the 2002-2003 season he succeeded Harry Kupfer as chief director of the Komische Oper and in the 2003-2004 season he became an intendant. Since then, Homoki has directed Die verkaufte Braut, Der Zwerg/ Eine florentinische Tragödie, Jevgeni Onjegin, Der Rosenkavalier, Mahagonny and La bohème, among others.
