Alexander Reitenbach studied piano at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart, the Akademie für musikalische Bildung in Karlsruhe, and the Universität der Künste Berlin. During his studies, he immersed himself in the Russian, French, and German piano traditions and developed a keen interest in chamber music and historical keyboard instruments.

For many years, Reitenbach performed piano concertos by Brahms, Chopin, and Tchaikovsky for productions of the Stuttgarter Ballett, collaborating with the Staatsorchester Stuttgart and other leading symphony orchestras. He also toured extensively, performing in South Korea, China (Forbidden City Concert Hall), London (St. Martin-in-the-Fields), the Netherlands (Peter de Grote Festival), and Italy (Palermo Classica). Additionally, he appeared as a soloist with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Since 2013, Reitenbach has been a faculty member at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart. He has also given masterclasses in countries such as Poland, Germany, and Switzerland. He is a co-founder of the Peter Feuchtwanger Society, established in honor of the renowned pianist and pedagogue, and serves as vice president of L’Institut Frédéric Chopin in Switzerland.
