Kristina Mkhitaryan

Soprano

Soprano Kristina Mkhitaryan is a graduate of the Galina Vishnevskaya Theatre Studio, the Gnesins Music College and the Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow. She has won multiple awards, among which the first prize at the Queen Sonja International Competition in Oslo and the second prize at the Obukhova Singing Competition. She has sung in, amongst others, La traviata at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper, Liceu Barcelona, Royal Opera House and Opera di Roma. Other highlights in her career are Il trittico with the Metropolitan Opera, Les pêcheurs de perles and Il Giasone at Grand Théâtre de Genève, and Rinaldo at Glyndebourne. At Dutch National Opera, she previously sang Eritea in Eliogabalo and recently the role of Liú in Turandot. May 2023 we will see her in the title role of Maria Stuarda.
