Lighting

Dutch lighting designer Cor van den Brink designs for opera, dance, and theatre. He has worked closely with directors such as Pierre Audi, Christof Loy, Monique Wagemakers, Jetske Mijnssen, Wim Trompert and many others. He created and redesigned several lighting designs, most recently for Rigoletto at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and for Otello at the Leipzig Oper. At the Cobra Museum of Modern Art, he designed the lighting for the exhibition ‘Karel Appel: the Opera’. At Dutch National Opera, Van den Brink created before Maria Stuarda also the lighting designs for GOUD!, A Song for the Moon, For a Look or a Touch, Operettaland and Anna Bolena.

In April-May 2024, Cor van den Brink will create the lighting design for the third and final part of the Tudor trilogy, Roberto Devereux.
