Victoria Behr
Costume design
Victoria Behr studied costume design in Hamburg. After graduating in 2003, she worked as an assistant costume designer for various theatres before striking out as a freelancer in costume design in 2008. Since then, she has collaborated with directors including Antu Romero Nunes, Herbert Fritsch and Barrie Kosky in theatres throughout Europe. Behr has been proclaimed Costume Designer of the Year five times by the renowned German magazine Theater Heute, and she received the same title in 2013 from Opernwelt. At Dutch National Opera, she has previously designed the costumes for La bohème (2014) and Turandot (2022).
