Frederik Bergman

Bass-baritone

The Dutch bass-baritone Frederik Bergman studied at the conservatoire in Tilburg. He was a member of Dutch National Opera Studio from 2019 to 2021, singing roles in Ritratto (2020) and Petite messe solennelle (2021). As an alumnus, he has returned frequently, including for roles as Masetto in Don Giovanni (2021), King Pygmalion in Operetta Land (2022), the Priest in Innocence (2023), Achilla in Giulio Cesare (2023), Le messager in Oedipus Rex (2024) and Tigri in Anansi (2025). He is also a regular guest performer at Opera Zuid, Nederlandse Reisopera and NTR ZaterdagMatinee, where he recently sang the role of Ridolfo in Donizetti’s Dalinda.

Frederik Bergman performs the role of Tigri in How Anansi freed the stories of the world from 16 to 25 May 2025 at Dutch National Opera & Ballet. Later that year, he appears in Operetta Land as Koning Pygmalion and Heggenschaarhuzaar, from 5 to 23 October 2025.
