Frederik Bergman

Bass-baritone

Dutch bass-baritone Frederik Bergman graduated from the Tilburg Conservatoire in 2012. In 2018, he made his debut with Dutch National Opera in the role of Abraham in James MacMillan’s Clemency. In the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons, he was part of the Dutch National Opera Studio and performed in Willem Jeths’ Ritratto and Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle. As an alumnus of the talent development programme, he returned for several roles: Masetto in Don Giovanni, Soldier in Salome, Lord Rochefort in Anna Bolena, Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas and Zuniga in Carmen. This season he returned to Dutch National Opera as Pygmalion (Operetta Land) and Achilla (Giulio Cesare). Furthermore, he will sing Don Fernando (Fidelio) at the Nederlandse Reisopera and First Officer in John Adams’ The Death of Klinghoffer in the Concertgebouw.
