Eva Kroon


Dutch mezzo-soprano Eva Kroon is a frequent guest at Dutch National Opera: in recent years she has sung Grimgerde in Wagner’s Die Walküre and the Voice from Above in Parsifal, Antonia's deceased mother in Les contes d’Hoffmann, and Cook/Woman/Ritual Singer in Hamel’s Caruso a Cuba. She has previously worked with conductors such as Stéphane Denève, Marc Albrecht, Marc Minkowski, Karel Deseure, and Carlo Rizzi, as well as with directors such as Pierre Audi, Johannes Erath, Robert Carlsen, Ola Mafaalani and Tobias Kratzer. Her repertoire shows a passion for both classic and contemporary opera, including roles such as Erda (Das Rheingold, Siegfried), Geneviève (Pelléas et Mélisande) Ulrica (Un Ballo in Maschera), and Kaiser Wilhelm (De Grens).
