Joachim Klein
Lighting designer
Joachim Klein has worked as a lighting designer at Oper Frankfurt since 1994, becoming head of the lighting department in 2013. In addition to his position at Oper Frankfurt, he works on a freelance basis for opera houses such as Staatsoper Hamburg, Teatro Real in Madrid, English National Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and the Glyndebourne Festival. He has collaborated with directors including Barrie Kosky, Christof Loy, Tobias Kratzer, Peter Konwitschny and Ted Huffman. For Dutch National Opera, he previously designed the lighting for Agrippina (2024) and Il trittico (2024).
