Franck Evin

Lighting designer

The French lighting designer Franck Evin has worked as artistic head of lighting at the Komische Oper Berlin since the 1995–1996 season, contributing to countless productions. In 2006, he received an Opus Award in the category of lighting design for Così fan tutte at the Komische Oper. Over the years, he has collaborated with directors such as Barrie Kosky, Andreas Homoki, Calixto Bieito, and Hans Neuenfels. At Dutch National Opera, he previously worked with Andreas Homoki on Alban Berg’s Lulu (2002), Richard Strauss’s Capriccio (2002), and Die Frau ohne Schatten (2008); with Barrie Kosky on Armide (2013) and Tosca (2022); and with Kirill Serebrennikov on Der Freischütz (2022).
