Franck Evin
The French lighting designer Franck Evin has been artistic head of lighting at Komische Oper Berlin ever since the 1995–96 season. He has been involved in numerous productions there, and in 2006 he received an Opus Award in the lighting design category for his work on Così fan tutte at Komische Oper. Over the years, he has worked with directors including Barrie Kosky, Andreas Homoki, Calixto Bieito and Hans Neuenfels. At Dutch National Opera, he has previously collaborated with Andreas Homoki on Alban Berg’s Lulu (2002) and Richard Strauss’s Capriccio (2002) and Die Frau ohne Schatten (2008), with Barrie Kosky on Armide (2013) and Tosca (2022), and with Kirill Serebrennikov on Der Freischütz (2022).
