Since his debut as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at the Festival Aix-en-Provence, French tenor Stanislas de Barbeyrac has gained international attention. He has already been a guest at several major opera houses, such as the Royal Opera House, the Metropolitan Opera, Opéra national de Paris, Die Bayerische Staatsoper and Grand Théâtre de Genève. He has also performed on numerous opera festivals, such as Aix-en-Provence and Salzburg. De Barbeyrac is a laureate of the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition and has won prizes at the Prix du Cercle Carpeaux and Prix Lyriques de l'AROP. His repertoire includes major tenor roles, such as the male title role in Pélleas et Mélisande and Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni. Recently he made his acclaimed debut as Max in Der Freischütz at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. At Dutch National Opera, he has previously sung the roles of Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, and Le Chevalier in Dialogues des Carmelites, directed by Robert Carsen.
