Mezzo-soprano
The Dutch mezzo-soprano Eva Kroon is a regular guest performer at Dutch National Opera. In recent years, she has sung Grimgerde in Wagner’s Die Walküre, Stimme aus der Höhe in Parsifal, Cook/Woman/Ritual Singer in Micha Hamel’s Caruso a Cuba, Die Stallmagd in Humperdinck’s Königskinder and Annina in Der Rosenkavalier. Her repertoire demonstrates her love of both classical and contemporary opera, with roles as Amneris (Aida), Hippolyta (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Kaiser Wilhelm in Jan-Peter de Graaff’s chamber opera De Grens.
