Bass Chanhee Cho was born in South Korea and studied at the College of Music of Hanyang University in Seoul, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. In 2017, he performed at The Musical Olympus International Festival of St. Petersburg. In that same year, he won first prize at the Neue Stimmen International Singing Competition in Germany. After this, he entered his military services in South Korea.
This season Chanhee makes his debut at Dutch National Opera in the role of second Soldat in Salome, and he will sing the role of Ein Eremit in Der Freischütz.
