Orphée

Baritone Andrè Schuen received a trilingual upbringing (Landisch, Italian and German) in a family full of musicians. His repertoire embraces that diversity and ranges from opera to traditional Ladish folk songs. He studied singing at Die Universität Mozarteum. From 2010 to 2014, he was a member of the Das Opernhaus Graz ensemble. After this he performed in the celebrated Da Ponte cycle by Nikolaus Harnoncourt at the Theater an der Wien. He sang the roles of Figaro, Don Giovanni and Guglielmo. He recently sang the latter role again at the Salzburg Festival under the musical direction of Joana Mallwitz. His role as Orpheus marked his debut in 2022 with Dutch National Opera.
