Andrey Zhilikhovsky

Baritone

The Moldovan baritone Andrey Zhilikhovsky studied choral conducting at the Ștefan Neaga Music School in Chișinău and vocal performance at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Saint Petersburg. After completing the Young Artists Programme at the Bolshoi Theatre, he became a highly sought-after opera singer in Europe and beyond. His repertoire includes Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Don Giovanni, Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Yeletsky (The Queen of Spades), Marcello (La bohème), and Posa (Don Carlos). He has performed with companies such as the Bayerische Staatsoper, Opéra National de Paris, the Glyndebourne Festival, Komische Oper Berlin, The Metropolitan Opera, Teatro Regio di Torino, and the Royal Opera House. In 2024/25, he made his debut at the Finnish National Opera as Posa and sang Don Pedro in Maria Padilla in Seville. Zhilikhovsky is also active as a recitalist and has performed in recitals with pianist Iain Burnside, including at London’s Wigmore Hall.
