Romeo Castellucci


ROMEO CASTELLUCCI (director, sets, costumes and lighting) is an Italian director, artist, writer, performer and designer. In 1981, together with Claudia Castellucci and Chiara Guidi, he founded the Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio, an Italian experimental theatre company that gained worldwide fame.

Castellucci is known for his radical visual idiom in large-scale productions. A few years ago, Castellucci also started directing operas, including Parsifal and Orfeo ed Euridice (Brussels), Moses und Aron (Paris) and Tannhäuser (Munich).
