Peter Arink studied at the Conservatory in Enschede and continued his studies with Udo Reinemann at the Conservatory of Utrecht. Afterwards he became a member of the studio ensemble of the Internationaal Opera Centrum Nederland in Amsterdam. In 1993 he made his debut as Papageno in Die Zauberflöte (Festival d'Auvers, France). Since then he has sung many roles in the Netherlands and abroad, including those of 1st Soldier Salome, Schaunard La bohème, Moralès Carmen, Malatesta Don Pasquale, Fiorello Il barbiere di Siviglia, Collatinus The Rape of Lucretia, Lothario Mignon and Alfio Cavalleria rusticana.

Peter Arink has also built up a considerable repertoire as an oratorio soloist, including the Matthäus-Passion by Bach, Die Schöpfung and Die Jahreszeiten by Haydn, Mozart's Requiem, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, Ein deutsches Requiem by Brahms, Verdi's Requiem and Puccini's Messa di Gloria.

Peter Arink has been associated with the Chorus of Dutch National Opera since 2007. He also performs frequently as a soloist with DNO, including roles like Bello La fanciulla del West, Edelman The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezhj, Chirurgo La forza del destino and Petrovich Eugene Onegin (with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra).
