THOMAS JOLLY

He caused a furore with his own production of the three parts of Shakespeare’s Henry VI. In 2014, the three plays were performed consecutively in an 18-hour theatre marathon at the Festival d’Avignon. In 2015, he directed Shakespeare’s Richard III. Eliogabalo, a production that premiered last season at the Opéra national de Paris, was his first opera production. It was followed by Offenbach’s Fantasio at the Opéra Comique in Paris. Since 2016, Jolly has been a guest director with the Théâtre National de Strasbourg.
