Franck Evin

Lighting

French lighting designer Franck Evin has worked as artistic head of lighting at the Komische Oper Berlin since the 1995-1996 season, where he has contributed to numerous productions. In 2006 he was awarded an Opus Award in the lighting design category for his Così fan tutte at this operahuis. Since 2012 he has been artistic director of lighting design at Opernhaus Zurich. Over the years, he has worked consistently with directors such as Barrie Kosky, Andreas Homoki, Calixto Bieito and Hans Neuenfels. At Dutch National Opera, he previously worked with Andreas Homoki on Alban Berg’s Lulu (2002), Richard Strauss’ Capriccio (2002) and Die Frau ohne Schatten (2008), and with Barrie Kosky on Armide (2013) and on Tosca (2022).
