Lilian Farahani

Soprano

Dutch-Iranian soprano Lilian Farahani graduated cum laude with distinction from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and the Dutch National Opera Academy in Amsterdam. She has sung for many companies, including Opera Zuid and Dutch Touring Opera, as well as at the opera houses of Nancy, Bern and Essen, and at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and the Internationale Maifestspiele Wiesbaden. Her repertoire includes Mozart roles as well as Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, Carolina in Il matrimonio segreto, Musetta in La bohème, and Frasquita in Carmen. At Dutch National Opera, she previously sang Carolina (Il matrimonio segreto) Papagena in Die Zauberflöte (2018), and Zerlina in Don Giovanni (2021).

During season 2023-2024 Lilian Farahani can be seen at Dutch National Opera in the role of The Bride (Stela) in Innocence (7-22 October).
