Charlotte Chapellier

Ballet master

Charlotte Chapellier (Alençon, France) trained at the Conservatoire de Nantes (France) and the Conservatoire Supérieur National in Paris (France), where she was awarded first prize at a ballet competition organised by the school in 1994. She went on to dance with the Opéra de Nice and Boston Ballet. Between 1997 and 2011, she was a dancer with Dutch National Ballet, where she went from corps de ballet to soloist. While still working as a dancer, Charlotte Chapellier also gave classes and rehearsals. On ending her dancing career, she choreographed a work for the anniversary of Dutch National Opera & Ballet (formerly The Amsterdam Music Theatre) in 2012, and worked as a ballet mistress with Compania Nacional de Danza (Madrid, Spain). Since 2014, she has been part of the Dutch National Ballet’s artistic staff, in the position of ballet mistress.
