Dutch National Opera has received the title 'World premiere of the year' for the opera Fin de partie by the Hungarian composer György Kurtág.
The opera, based on Samuel Beckett's play of the same name, was directed by Pierre Audi and directed by Markus Stenz. The world premiere of this composition and co-production by Dutch National Opera and Teatro alla Scala took place on 15 November 2018 in Milan. The opera was shown at the Opera Forward Festival in Amsterdam in March 2019. Fin de partie received good reviews in the international press shortly after its world premiere.
