Flemish dramaturge Luc Joosten has worked since 1993 as a free production dramaturge for the Flemish Opera (Antwerp/Ghent), La Monnaie (Brussels), KlangBogen/Theatre an der Wien and Neue Oper Wien. After years of working with Guy Joosten, Tatjana Gürbaca and Luk Perceval, among others, he held the post of chief dramaturge at Opera Vlaanderen from 2010 to 2018. Since 2018, he has held the same position at Dutch National Opera. He is also a visiting professor at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Antwerp Conservatory and the International Opera Academy, where he teaches philosophy of art and dramaturgy of music theatre.
