Ruud Fiselier was born into a musical family in Losser and now lives in Hilversum. In 1989 he joined the Chorus of Dutch National Opera. For the first two years he sang with the tenors, as did his father, Frans Fiselier Sr.
Since 1989, apart from the Chorus, he has often performed small solo roles. To his great pleasure, his daughter Vera is also active in the opera world: she sings as a mezzo-soprano with various companies, such as the Nederlandse Reisopera and the Aalto-Theater in Essen.
After more than 30 years, the new challenges that the theatre in Amsterdam offers him are still a great gift, among other things thanks to the many familiar faces of opera lovers in the auditorium.
