Rinat Gizatulin

Senior Ballet Teacher

Rinat Gizatulin trained at the Choreographic Institute in Moscow (Russia), the school of the renowned Bolshoi Ballet, where he was coached by the ballet master Alexander Prokofiev. In 1979, he joined the Gorky Ballet, as the youngest soloist, where he danced in Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet and Giselle. Two years later, he joined Moscow Classical Ballet (Ballet Star Factory) as a principal dancer.

Gizatulin started to train as a teacher with Naum Azarin-Messer, in 1986, followed by two years with GITIS – the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts, in Moscow, with professor V. Valuing. His international career started in 1991, when he was appointed ballet teacher with Ballett Dortmund.

In 1993, Gizatulin also obtained his teaching certificate in the Netherlands, after which he started working as a ballet teacher with the Dutch National Ballet Academy (Amsterdam University of the Arts) and Dutch National Ballet. In 2010, he was appointed the company’s senior ballet teacher.
