Frederik Bergman

Bass-baritone

Dutch bass-baritone Frederik Bergman graduated from the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Tilburg (the Netherlands) in 2012. In 2018, he made his debut at Dutch National Opera in the role of Abraham in James MacMillan’s Clemency. In the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, he was a member of the Dutch National Opera Studio and performed in Willem Jeths’ Ritratto and Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle. As an alumnus of Dutch National Opera’s talent development programme, he returned for the roles of Masetto in Don Giovanni (2021), Soldier in Salome (2022), Lord Rochefort in Anna Bolena (2022), Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas (2022), Zuniga in Carmen (2022), Pygmalion in Operetta Land (2022), Achilla in Giulio Cesare (2023), The Priest in Innocence (2023) and The Narrator in Die Zauberflöte (2023).
