Klaas-Jan de Groot

Klaas-Jan de Groot has been assistant chorus conductor with the Dutch National Opera Chorus from season 16/17 to 21/22. He also worked at Opera Zuid as rehearsal director (La bohème), and assistant conductor (Il barbiere di Siviglia, Un ballo in maschera, A Quiet Place and Fantasio), and was assistant chorus conductor at the Bayreuther Festspiele in summer 2018. As of the 2022-2023 season, he became artistic director of the choir at the Aalto-Musiktheater in Essen.
