Peter Leung creates a duet for DanceAble#2

On Friday 3 November 2017, Holland Dance Festival is opening its second three-day event DanceAble. The event aims to spotlight inclusion dance and provide development opportunities for people with and without a handicap.

The organisation wants to “put inclusion dance firmly on the map in the Netherlands, lower thresholds and remove prejudices”. Dutch National Ballet has been asked to create a mixed double duet for the opening performance of DanceAble#2. A mixed double duet is a duet where a dancer with a handicap and a dancer without a handicap dance together.

Peter Leung, Young Creative Associate with Dutch National Ballet is creating a mixed double duet for Nadine Drouin, a member of Dutch National Ballet’s corps de ballet, and Sander Verbeek, her dance partner.
