Extras wanted for Prince Igor

Between 7 and 26 February 2017, Dutch National Opera is presenting seven performances of the opera Prince Igor (music Alexander Borodin, director: Dmitri Tcherniakov) in Dutch National Opera & Ballet, in Amsterdam. Rehearsals for the performances will take place from 13 December 2016 to 7 February 2017. Dutch National Opera is looking for extras to take part in these performances.

Requirements:
Besides some older male extras, we are looking for 32 young men for a group divided into 22 soldiers/civilians and 10 fighters. So we are looking for 22 fit young men to take part in the production. Age: between 18 and 25. Height: between 1.80 m and 2 m. And for the 10 fighters, we are looking specifically for muscular young men with broad shoulders.

Candidates are expected to be available full-time during the rehearsal period from 13 December 2016 to 7 February 2017 (excluding a Christmas holiday from 24 December 2016 to 2 January 2017) and for all the performances on 7, 10, 13, 17, 20, 23 and 26 (matinee) February 2017 in Dutch National Opera & Ballet, in Amsterdam.

Remuneration:
For rehearsals of up to three hours, Dutch National Opera & Ballet pays extras a fee of € 32.50 and for dress rehearsals and performances, a fee of € 65. Dutch National Opera & Ballet reimburses travel expenses for extras who live outside Amsterdam.
