International acclaim for the CD of Waiting for Miss Monroe

On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s death, composer Robin de Raaff worked with librettist Janine Brogt on his second opera, Waiting for Miss Monroe, about the film idol of the fifties and early sixties. This Dutch National Opera production, directed by Lotte de Beer, was presented in mid-June 2012 in Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam. Waiting for Miss Monroe was released on CD, and following an enthusiastic reception from the Dutch press, the international press (including The Guardian and Magazin Klassik) has now heaped praise and many stars on this wonderful release!
