Stefan Żeromski (1966) received his professional ballet training at the school of the Poznań Opera Ballet in Poland. After graduating, he joined the ballet company of Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa in Warsaw, where he was promoted to soloist a year later. That same year, he was awarded the Leon Wójcikowski Prize for best young dancer. Żeromski then moved to the Opernballett der Deutschen Oper Berlin, where he danced as a soloist and worked with choreographers such as Roland Petit, Maurice Béjart, and Lucinda Childs.

Following his time in Berlin, Żeromski joined Nederlands Dans Theater 1 as a principal dancer, performing in premiere works by leading choreographers including Jiří Kylián, the choreographic duo Paul Lightfoot and Sol León, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Johan Inger, and Ohad Naharin. Żeromski also appeared in various televised performances of NDT and created works for the company’s annual choreography workshop.

Currently, Żeromski teaches at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and coaches works by Jiří Kylián, Paul Lightfoot, and Sol León with ballet companies worldwide.
