Dutch National Opera holds first Children’s Choir Festival

On Sunday 11 January, Dutch National Opera held its first Children’s Choir Festival. Sixteen children’s choirs, totalling 320 children, from all over the Netherlands, were guests of Dutch National Opera & Ballet for the day, where they took part in workshops, presentations and a grand finale in the auditorium. The day revolved around the upcoming family opera Ramble to Reims. The children came together to sing a song based on this opera, composed especially for the occasion by Bob Zimmerman.
