Michael Pflumm

The German tenor Michael Pflumm is a graduate of the Freiburg Conservatory and has been an ensemble member at Theater Basel, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Theater Bielefeld and the Komische Oper Berlin. He has worked with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Philippe Jordan, Vladimir Jurowski, Lothar Zagrosek, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Iván Fischer and Marc Albrecht. As an advocate for contemporary music and a guest with the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, he has sung at the Salzburger Festspiele, the Festival Nous Sons Barcelona and at the Printemps des Arts Monaco. He has performed at the Teatro alla Scala (Elektra), Opéra national de Paris (Moses und Aron), State Opera Hannover (Die Gezeichneten) and at the Wiener Festwochen (Das Lied von der Erde). Königskinder marks his debut at the Dutch National Opera.
