Alexander de Jong

Baritone

Dutch baritone Alexander de Jong studied at the conservatory of Tilburg and was part of DNO Talent, the predecessor of Dutch National Opera Studio. With the Nederlandse Reisopera, he sang roles in La traviata, Wonderful Town, A Little Night Music and Tosca. With Holland Opera, he sang in the performances Zauberflöte Requiem and King Lear. De Jong sang the title role in Maduro, a co-production by Amare, the Residentie Orkest and The Dutch Don't Dance Division. At Dutch National Opera, he previously sang roles in Der Rosenkavalier, Animal Farm, Tosca, Les contes d'Hoffmann, Clemency, Gianni Schicchi, The New Prince, Hondenhartje, and De jongen die te snel groeide. De Jong also studied Law at the University of Leiden and Amsterdam.
